DIY Scratch Art
Every year our students tackle a scratch art unit made up of a couple projects using scratch paper that we purchase. The projects are always engaging and turn out great, however, Scratch Art paper is not cheap. So I think it would be awesome for the kids to learn how to make it themselves. I experimented with making Scratch Art paper using basic printer paper ( thinking we could use recycled paper) construction paper, and card stock. I really liked the card stock paper the best but the printer paper was a close second. I would not use construction paper for making Scratch Art Paper. Here are some pics of my experiment.
